戚安道（Andrew Chittick），1997年在密歇根大学获历史学博士学位，随后在佛罗里达埃克德学院（EckerdCollege）任教，现为正教授。他撰有一系列论文探讨早期中古中国的地方历史书写，以及竞渡和龙舟比赛的历史，同时也是著名的《剑桥中国史·六朝卷》南朝部分的主笔。戚安道教授分别获普林斯顿高等研究院和美国国家人文科学捐赠基金会的研究资助。另著有《中国和世界史中的建康帝国：种族认同和政治文化》，牛津大学出版社，2020年。 译者毕云，毕业于香港中文大学，历史学博士，现为东南大学历史学系副教授。主要研究方向为：早期中古隐逸，汉魏学术思想，六朝墓志碑刻，古代生活文化。
